FPS drop after latest patch

Hello,

my fps dropped by whoppin 20 after the latest patch, I haven't changed any of the graphics options at all, everything was like it was before the patch.

My fps tanks when I press esc and enter main menu, probably related to the esc crash others are having

Im in the same boat. Ran 60-100 FPS yesterday night, now it's like watching a slideshow. Ive tried everything. Noticed that everytime I verify integrity of files, theres always two files that fail to verify and must be reacquired. I hope it gets fixed soon.

Yeah, same here, drops from 80-90 to ~40 after ESC, GPU usage around 50%.

Yup yup, my gpu and cpu usage seems to be fine, but I'm just sometimes having around 40 fps from like 60-80 even on the ship and on land it's even worse :D

Seems really weird to me, never had any issues before.

Same. Was fine before, now it makes it near unplayable.

My FPS has been worsening since the mid-April patch, it's gone from solid 60FPS to sub-30fps with stuttering. Damn near unplayable, I did a couple test missions just now & despite my playing well it was a painful experience due to these performance issues, it seems worse with every patch and the devs never say anything about it. This suggests to me that they don't know how to fix it despite it not being broken for months after release.

I was quite disappointed when the new patch had not a single optimization fix listed. I might uninstall at this point; my hard drive space yearns for games that actually run properly.

Sorry to hear mate, hopefully it will get resolved soon, I see more and more people having performance issues which is the opposite of what should happen.

I've had this issue before the patch & I used to disable my Nvida shader cache > restart PC > delete files located in C:\Users\"Your Login Name" \AppData\LocalLow\NVIDIA\PerDriverVersion\DXCache > re-enable Nvidia shader cache, clear steam download cache & do a game file verify.

That usually fixed it for me, as I would hit 40-80 FPS just from the Destroyer.

Welcome to the club.
I have performance problems for the past 2 months or so ..
Used to play 2K ultra .. now i play 1080p mid-low and sometimes it still drops to 30-40 fps

Same problem ….. I have a solution… stop playing this poor optimized game. After 140 hours and drop performance patch after patch i’m done of this s**t

yeah probably related to shader cache. they need to have it reset and regenerated after patches.

My FPS also dropped by 20 frames. The problem is that they disabled multithreading. I don't know why, but one core can't handle it.

turn off 'async compute' in graphics, delete files in dxcache as per what razer said, restart game. now have 140fps in battlecruiser which was 60fps before
