Can't launch game since todays patch
My game crashes to desktop a few seconds after I launch it through steam. Was playing fine just yesterday. Since todays patch I'm unable to launch the game. Verified integrity of game files multiple times, restarted PC. Didnt to any changes to my PC software or hardware wise.
EDIT:
Fix that worked for me was manually deleting the "data" folder and verifying integrity of game files again via steam.

If you use mods, disable them, it worked for me.

I am using mods, you're right, I forgot about that.
I completely reinstalled the game though, to no avail.
No mod's game still won't start.

What can we do?

Alright, just uninstalling the game via Steam DOES NOT WORK. You have to MANUALLY delete the "data" folder AND THEN verify the integrity of your game files through steam so it redownloads the "data" folder. You can find the data folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Helldivers 2
If your game is installed somewhere else the directory will vary of course.
and after this thing the game is okay?

thx for info. gon try this. seems even if u purge mods verifying files via steam doesn't fully fix the data folder

i can confirm this does work for me. maybe its because i only installed a capeless mod
For me it was the mods, I purged the mods with Helldivers Mod Manager and it started working again

Did you get any sort of error message when it crashed?
It's happening to me too, Played it yesterday, was no problems and has been none prior to this latest patch. Now it crashes with a bug-report send/not send window before it even started.
Same problem since update. Will try the fix and post whether or not it worked for me.
