Weapon customizing crashes my game

Yesterday when the weapon customizing first appeared there was no issues, I could customize any gun, and I did. Yesterday I gave every gun the black Helldiver paint job, now I can hardly do anything. For 95% of the main weapons now, when I go to customize them with either attachments or skins, or even trying to cycle through the different loadouts it crashes my game. So far there's only 2 weapons I can customize, if I try any others the game crashes instantly and I'm back to my desktop within a second. It doesn't matter if I've levelled up the gun or not, game just crashes. Is anyone else having this issue? And any suggestions for fixing it, or am I just going to have to wait for a patch?

same exact issue here for me, its pretty frustrating since it first worked and now it only works for select weapons, pls update if you find any solutions.

I think i figured out a work around. You have to use a weapon you want to customize in a mission first. For me I use a gun to complete a lvl 1 mission, then after the mission go and try to customize that same gun. It still crashes the game one more time, but after starting the game again that same gun can now be customized without crashing the game. This process only works on one gun at a time, I have to repeat it for every gun I want to customize. I've got 7 guns I can customize now. Hopefully this works for anyone having this problem, this bug still needs to get fixed though.
