Error: request 88 error 35 status -1
I keep getting this error code each time I launch the game, and it repeatedly tries to connect to the server to no success. I was playing perfectly fine last night but made the mistake of closing my laptop before shutting down the game overnight. The next day I began getting this error code. I've restarted my computer, cleared the data cache, verified integrity of files, and uninstalled and reinstalled the game to no avail. Please help!

Did you clear the cache as described in the 2nd part of this guide? (the troubleshooting part)

Yeah I did, still nothing sadly. I haven't been able to find anyone else with a similar error code either..

Well, it is a standard connection error which indicates that something is blocking your game from connecting. Do you use Avast?

I do not, this is a relatively new laptop so I actually don't have any security or firewall software installed quite yet. The only other detail I think i should add too is that I'm actually on disney world open hotel WIFI at the moment lol. I don't figure that's the issue though as like I stated earlier it did function when I first arrived and every other online game I've tried in my library so far functions, but should say that I'm not on my home connection nonetheless.

That is a good point.

A good point, yet I cannot really value it up or down. Because we can never be sure if certain hotspots like that - aka internet connections which is used by many - is automatically blocked by the game's anticheat.

I have seen such before with Overwatch having issues, but that is - well - back then when Overwatch was cool - a long time ago.

The only way to be sure that is not a hindrance is using VPN / trying another connection like e.g. mobile data just to check if you can get into the game.

With new laptops there is a common problem that players often accidently skip giving the game's anticheat permission, leading to this issue exactly.

But if you did reinstall the GameGuard, checked the game's port and whitelisted the game with Windows security, the problem might be your internet service after all.
