20-25th of Feb. Game won't launch.

After what I believe to have been the latest update, I can't launch the game. the icon on the steam library switches to the blue "stop" sign after clicking the green "play" button. But after about 3-5 seconds it returns back to the green "play" button with no program running, no error message. It simply won't launch.
I did the basics. Uninstall and reinstall, C++ redistributable latest version, my PC isn't a slouch either I hand built my baby and despite being based off the Legion T5 it runs just as good as most high end PCs currently on the market. I honestly just want to play it because I miss it. I don't know if maybe I got hardware banned or something (I don't cheat nor use visual mods or anything of the sort).
I need help so if anyone has any for me I would be more than happy to listen.

Update for anyone still experiencing this issue:
Re-install Visual C++ 2012 update 4 both x86 and x 64 versions

That link will bring you to the download that I used (yes it is out of date) But after installing it, It instantly worked and I can now launch Helldivers with ease.

same thing. that's what i do:

1.Verify files, it's gonna download 1-2 missing/edited files
2. Exit Steam
3. Run Steam as administrator
4. Play

Mostly it's enogh but if the problems backs (and it always backs after closing game or next day u start PC), and the method above doesnt help, the only way is to reinstall game.

Why this happening? Dunno, seems like last update touched some nProtect scripts and now it works badly. Task manager shows that nProtects running and then just closing
