Laggy Aim After Update
So I've been getting terrible stuttering while ADS ever since the Illuminate update. It seems like it's directly tied to the having enemies on-screen, but other than that it's hard to figure out exactly what's causing it. I never used to have issues, but now when looking through scopes or iron sights of any kind my aim seems to jump around, as if aiming at 10 frames per second. Other aspects of the game are fine, I don't experience general lag and other animations on players and AI don't stutter, it's only when I try to aim. This actually makes it 10x as infuriating though because it makes it significantly harder to land my shots. It's consistent across all planets I drop on too, not just Illuminate planets/urban environments. Any ideas what would cause this or how to fix it?

Well they do not test the patches before releasing them so.... Not surprising. Game got worse after every single update at this point it's a bit ridiculous.

So no solution wait for a potential patch that will fix this but break 10 other things.

I see I'm not the only one with scope lag issues.

I have an NVIDIA GPU, a few years old but no major issues except 0.5 fps while scoped. Happened after the squid expansion dropped. It comes and goes. Seems to be tied to the count of enemies in the immediate area, not necessarily what is on screen.

I've played as host, joining local hosts, and joining hosts on the other side of the world and that seems to have no bearing on what is happening.

I think there is a bug that somehow makes it very resource intensive when you get into ADS mode. I noticed that when my framerates are high before going into ADS, the stutter is less noticeable. But if your framerate is under 90 and you enter ADS, it becomes very obvious.

Yeah, CPU use now slowly creeps up to 70 to 90 per cent and stays there. After that, the stutter starts, and I have to restart the game to get a few more mission without the stutter. Used to be better on bugs and bots, but now it seems pretty even across all planets. Could mitigate it on Linux by upping vm.max_map_count.
