CONSTANT CRASHING since the second-to-last patch

I don't know why, but since the patch before the Illuminates patch, this game has been crashing for me every time I launch it. It will consistently crash 100% of the time within the first 1 minute of getting on my ship.

I have updated BIOS, drivers, windows, verified game files, reinstalled 5 times, changed CPU voltage, disabled some graphics settings, etc.
Anything I do, does not fix the issue.

I have 150 hours in this game, me and the boys love it, and it sucks that we can't play as a full squad because my game won't run.

AMD Ryzen 5 3600
Powercolor Radeon 5700XT
MSI B450 Tomahawk Max

Sometimes, the crash will force my PC to reboot, causing a System Error: WHEA-Logger Event ID 18.
Supposedly, this is because of a CPU flaw, but across reddit I have seen people with the same issue replacing their CPU's and the problem is not fixed.

All of my other games work fine, and up until the second-most recent patch, HD2 worked fine as well.

If anyone has any solution please by all that is holy, share it with me. All I want is to spread managed democracy.

I'm also getting this. Game loads for maybe ~1-5 minutes before crashing. Only thing I see is the following in event viewer:

This isn't happening for any other games and from what little research I've done it doesn't seem like the ntdll.dll seems to be the root cause.

Also have hundreds of hours in the game. Can't play for 10 minutes straight. The last time I didn't even get past the loading drop screen and it crashed.

No i havent found any solutions yet.
Sometime within the next week i might try to wipe my windows install and see if that fixes it.

You might be on the wrong track with thinking it is the CPU. It is indeed a hardware issue. Presumably due to your RAM settings. You should check that in detail as you have not shared a DxDiag report. Look for XMP/EXPO and tune it down according to your motherboard.

If the issue persists, use memtest for a thorough check, after unplugging the RAM and replugging them properly to assure it is no loose contact issue.

I have been having the same issue, and left a post earlier about it. Its is not your CPU hardware. There is a CPU usage leak that slowly and steadily increases CPU usage until a crash occurs when the CPU is overwhelmed. try to look at the CPU usage as soon as you boot, it will steadily increase until failure. I have a 7945hx3D (very powerful 33k on r23) and I hard crash after 30 minutes consistently. Computer requires a switch off.

I have not found a solution, and i believe its a coding error. I believe there is an open loop pulling on the CPU until failure. I have found no solution inside of settings, drivers, BIOS or an other software updates.

So I ran diagnostics while playing to see what that looked like, and basically my computer no longer has the specs for this game, it has gotten bigger requiring more ram, while I don't have it seems, so I guess unless you are going to upgrade then sucks to be us. I have uninstalled the game now anyway.

how much ram do u have? im running 16gb which is the amount recommended for the game, i find it hard to believe that I would need more than that

I have 64GB of RAM and I still get these CTDs, so I don't think amount of RAM is the primary issue, also the game was running fine until today
