Game suddenly won't launch

I have played for nearly 300 hours and haven't had hardly any problems. Even with all updates, there was no problems.

However, just after last night I am no longer able to open the game for seemingly no reason. I had just recently unlocked the newest EXO suit, played two matches, and then logged off.

Things I have tried:
I have validated the game files three times. Each time it will tell me, "2 files failed to validate and will be reacquired." Then it redownloads those two files. However upon trying to start the game again, it just crashes right back to desktop.

I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the game, this also did not fix it.

I also tried a CHKDSK scan on my PC and found no problems.

I don't really know what to do from here and would love some suggestions.

Between the last possible game and right before it not wont start anymore - did something had change on your system (windows Updates, Antivirus, etc.)?
Did you delete the shader_cache Folder in

%appdata%/Arrowhead/Helldivers2/

May something more is broken, Try also to reinstall your GPU-Driver (to the exact same version at it was, if not possible give the newest a try).

Same thing happened to me. I played one hour ago with no problem, left for lunch and now it won't launch!

Not sure if your having a similar issue to what happened to me a week ago but, my game would just close after seconds of launching. It sounds like you cant even get to that point. However maybe my fix will work for you as well. I uninstalled and reinstalled just as you and it didn't fix the issue for me either. I Deleted the GameGaurd Folder and ran the game, still no luck.

However combining the two "Fixes" worked for me.

Right click Helldivers 2 in your steam library and browse local files, go to bin, Delete the entire GameGuard Folder. Then immediately go back to your library and uninstall the game. Reinstall it as normal to the same storage you had prior and hopefully that works for you.

Having the same exact problem today. Unfortunately, deleting the GameGuard Folder and reinstalling did not work for me, along with everything mentioned above.

Its gameguard, the issue is on their side and a lot of the playerbase that's suffering from this has mixed results with it and nearly 2/3 of the playerbase doesnt experience it. Everything I tried when I had this issue didnt work until their next update.

same here since today, clicking launch and nothing show up. not gameguard not the game.

ok now it works, for me it helps to delete gameguardfolder, the restart and repair game and it starts.

Go to game exe, go to Properties, go to Compatibility tab, set Run as Administrator.
