SEAF artillery bug
Anyone got this bug recently? The SEAF ammo can be retrieved back and replaced, but it is not detected in the terminal.

  1. Please beware posting YTshorts and TikSchrott - they dont contain any useful information.
  2. A SEAF Artillery Canon ist a onetime using Device on the map.
  3. If empy, you cant reload it with the remaining 1 or 2 Shells on the place.
  4. If you already use of one of the shells and you see the loading-arm is again free for another shell - this is a automatic for loading but that is not connected to the hole system. It had send you after the deployment the information you have only 5 of them, not more.
So, its not a "bug". Its working like it developed.
Simply example: If you load a magazin of 5 things and have to programm the system to use these, shot one and reload one whitout programming - how do you think the system can handle it without the ability to check it by itself?

I have loaded 5 ammos, but there is an action trigger on the first ammo (the deepest one). I can click to take it out, and if I dropped it, the ammo is back in place. And also the terminal only detects 4 out of 5 ammos.

Very interessting behavoir, never saw the interaction point on one of them after I or other player loaded them. This is then a glitch or bug. It seams the first one get out of loading-cylce and act like a normal shell that lays around to be picked up. I think, to could happen so far for any of the shells since this could happen to everyone, but not sure what can cause this.

Are you remember - did the first loading was displayed as loaded or never?
And were you able to put there a other shell instead?

There could be 2 factors causing it or a bit:
  • When the first Shell is loaded (the loading Arm is working (but is not connected to the system of recognize)) only the Arm-Animation worked and blocked the slot (so for the system only 4 slots visible as filled).
  • The Shell itself has a issue and is not recognizable for the machine.
As I see, you could pick it up - you should test, if an other player can put there an other shell into and were all player able to remove the shell from the loadingslot?

Ah, I can imagine what this could cause also: Async between players. Saw a behavoir by trying to load them, but a different player seems were able to put them way earlier into it.

Sorry, I didn't see the terminal when the first ammo is loaded. I want to finish it fast, so I put all the ammos first then go to the terminal.

Yes, I have asked other people to put an ammo when I picked up the first ammo, and they can't. At that time, I played with 3 other people and they have also similar interaction point. And this has already happened twice on different missions. The previous one has 2 interactions points on 2 deepest seaf ammos.

I think this bug related to connection issues, because half the game, I experienced a delayed reaction when taking weapon ammos, stim, or grenades.

My team experienced this exact bug last night, just as you described it. That ended up being the only objective we couldn't complete on an otherwise perfect Helldiver difficulty run.
