Failed to join game lobby
Game was runnign smooth yesterday but today it doesn't go past the "Establishing up-link to host ship." it shows the following error "Failed to join game lobby"

Tried adding exclusions to Firewall and Windows Defender, deleting Gameguard folder, verifying game files, restarting PC. Etc.
Nothing works.
Edit: Disabling Crossplay also doesn't work, and reinstalling neither.

im having the same problem please let me know if you get it fixed

I'm trying fixes non-stop but until now... to no avail.
Same here, glad its not just me.

Guys I guess I fixed it.
I found a way. I disabled and re-enabled the adaptor, after updating the drivers, and then I unchecked TCP/IPv6 and opened the game. It worked. if you need a guide, you can follow this one https://www.reddit.com/r/Helldivers/comments/1bjv1b0/helldivers_2_network_issues_troubleshooting_fixes/

What actualy fixed for me was:
1 - Update the network drivers.
2 - Disable and re-enable the adaptor you use to play the game.
3 - Open the adaptor properties and uncheck TCP/IPv6
4 - Open the game and test.

If you encounter problems with games or connection because of that, just check TCP/IPv6 and only uncheck it to play the game.

Update me if it worked or not
I'm having same issue and disabling IPV6 doesn't work, I restarted my PC, Verified my files and i'm still getting unable to join myself. I also made sure no firewall was blocking it.

I had to update my drivers, all of them including my network drivers. Then I went to adapter config on windows and disabled my ethernet adaptor, then re-enabled it again. just after this is when I disabled IPv6.
just desabling it also wasn't working for me before. I had to undergo all these previous steps for it to work. Can you do it and update the status here?
Hope it fixes for you! Democracy needs us!

tried all of these steps and still cannot connect to friends or vice versa. hopefully they fix this soon
Coningan Jan 20 @ 2:32pm
Oh... at least you tried bro. hope they fix it soon enough
this has been an ongoing issue for almost a year now. the only fix that has worked for me is to not play for a few days or play solo. ( it can effect you by the hour, i have had it effect me for 20 minutes at random in a 2 week span )

there is also an easy way to see if your still going to have a problem for that particular moment
when you launch the game and get to the hangar, bring up your steam friends list.
if it says "on ship" your fine
if it says "on main menu" your playing solo or or not at all

i have tried every "fix" that i have seen and some have worked, but stopped working a few days later at most or never work at all, most do nothing to fix issue.

another thing i have noticed is that there is never any mention of it from the DEVS. i have seen over 1000 posts about this problem and i have seen ZERO responses from a dev. this is both here on steam and the discord, i dont think the devs care about this issue at all or its being done on purpose, what that purpose could be, i couldn't even imagine

"EDIT" i have now seen one post from a dev/mod that talks about this issue or a very similar issue.

I started having these issues today 1/21/2025

The devs are NOT giving an actual @$$!% about this problem. Pisses me off.

Same here, Issue arisen without any apparent change on the system. Windows says my drivers are up to date. It has been few days now I am not able to connect to other players

edit:

If i disable tcp/ipv6 it goes through the "Establishing up-link to host ship." and after a while it stays on "receiving data" it says "Failed to connect, connection timed out"

I still cannot play the game with other players.

Anyone found a solution yet?
Coningan Jan 26 @ 11:56am
Mine already fixed by itself. I tested playing today with the IPv6 enabled and it resumed working. Try all the steps mentioned in this message.

I opened up tickets with the arrowhead site, and they are aware of this issue. (Just not going anywhere near fixing it it surely seems. )
