End of game, was returning to ship and my laptop shut down

Are you overheating? Check that your case is dust free on the inside.

no... No overheating, no GPU crashes, very powerful rig no other game on Steam library crashes or turns off, ONLY HELLDIVERS

Same thing. Starts on switch from 6000 to 7000 amd gpu series. Shutdown on post mission screen. Fixed by uninstalling this game.

Try verifying your Helldivers 2 installation before starting up the game.
I've had the same exact shut-down problem for months now, with some updates seemingly fixing it, and others bringing it back with a vengeance. It's clearly not an overheating problem -- I suspect it's being caused by GameGuard.
Anyhow lately whenever I want to get some Helldivers going without being shut off mid-game, I verify the installation each time before I start. Seems to be working so far.

This has been happening to me constantly, got in an email thread with the Devs to no avail, about to just get a refund.

These issues are on your end, not the game's problems. If the game was crashing for a majority of people, then yes, it would be a game issue, but it isn't. If you can't diagnose or troubleshoot faults yourself on your PC, take it to a reputable repair shop as something is faulty somewhere.

Dude, that's not how a problem works. If people experience issues and can even reproduce it through others its not on ''their end''

My friend has a 4070 TI and a 7800X3D and he has the issue too. Its a Helldivers issue.

power the computer back on, or rollback some updates, that being windows or maybe some driver updates. Something tells me it's not a Helldivers issue and more than likely related to a recent update.

Check your event logs and other kernel related logging services, you'll be able to get far more information from those than the Steam discussions and the speculation that is offered here. Good luck.:cuphead:

No, that really is how it works. If it were a HD2 issue, then as I said, a vast majority of people would be experiencing the same issues which they aren't. This is on the user's end with something being faulty or corrupt data on the PC. Could even be driver issues. But it's certainly not a HD2 issue.

Have you even tried verifying the game files... I had crashes last month and turns out 2 files had become corrupted with a patch.

I have that EXACT issue, except whenever i launch the game, it will seemingly delete those two files, crash, then i need to re-validate the game files. If anyone has found a fix for this it would be appreciated

tried reinstalling the game?

Also, try deleting the folders for the game in AppData\Roaming
