This fixed it for me personally:
1. Right click Helldivers 2 in your Steam library
2. Select "Properties"
3. Select "Installed Files"
4. Click "Browse"
5. Find the .exe (Path from local files: Helldivers 2 > Bin > helldivers2) --> Right click
6. Select "Troubleshoot compatibility issues" (I think that's what it should be called, my Windows is in Danish - if not, it is something along those lines. It is right above the option to pin it to your desk)
7. Click "Try the recommended options"
8. Click "Test the program" --> This should open the game
9. Click "Next" once the game has booted up
- Options 1: If you're able to join other people/be joined, save the settings.
- Option 2: If you still have issues, click "No. Try with different settings" --> Remember
to close the game after this
IF OPTION 2
10. Select something along the lines of the program requiring multiple/other permissions - it is the third option shown.
11. Press "Next"
12. Press "Test the program"
13. This should prompt your PC to say yes or no to the game asking for permissions.
14. Join, be joined or press quickplay.
15. If you're able to play with other people, make sure you press "Next" in your troubleshooting and save the settings.
16. Remember to say "Yes, the problem is solved" and then click the "close troubleshooting"
This actually worked finally. I've done three other fixes that worked for literally a day each, and this has seems to have put a good hold on connection issues. Thanks!
Glad to hear it helped!!!
