Cloud out of sync?

This game keeps having issues with steam. I played it yesterday and everything was fine. I log in today and it just say the cloud is out of sync and that the save is not in the cloud yet (Upload not started). I tried a few things such as turn off and on the cloud sync, close steam, re-launch the game... Nothing works. How do I start the upload to the cloud?? I don't get it

The Steam Cloud only saves your settings. You do not need it at all.
