Helldivers 2 crashing Discord

When playing Helldivers 2 my Discord crashes, constantly. I'm the only one in my friend-group who has this issue, but they can all attest to my consistently leaving the chat during missions.

The issue has gotten progressively worse and worse as I've been playing Helldivers.
At the beginning, there were no issues at all, everything ran smoothly.
After a week or so, Discord started to randomly restart. It would shut down then automatically start back up and rejoin the chat.
Shortly after it stopped rejoining the chat, so shut down, restart, alt+tab out and rejoin the chat manually.
Then about the time when the front switched to the Automatons it got worse, now it wasn't starting back up. So i had to alt+tab and manually start it back up and rejoin the chat. Not a good use of my time during a firefight.
About the time we captured Malevelon Creek it started fighting me when I wanted to start Discord back up. It would sometimes start up but be just a grey square which needed to be killed in the task manager for me to try and start it again.
And now it's at the point where it will take me several minutes to get it back up and running again. Grey square, immediately shutting back down or I get a JavaScript error.
Even if it does come back on it will last maybe 5min before it goes back down again.

This has quite thoroughly killed my enthusiasm for the game. It's a bloody great game and I really want to play more, but I cannot bear the frustration of having to fight Discord as much as I'm fighting the bots. It's not fair to my team either, having my irritated ass sitting AFK trying to fix Discord while they push on without me.

I have tried just about everything to fix the issue, but I have come to the conclusion that it must be an problem with the game (or more likely, the anti-cheat).
I've tried:
Verifying the game files.
Reinstalling Discord
Reinstalling Discord again, after deleting every file left behind, caches etc.
Deleting RealTek audio driver
Gone into services.msc to restart Quality Audio Video Experience and set it to automatic
Stopped Discord Hardware Acceleration
Removed the Discord in-game overlay
Turned off Global Illumination in the game
Lowered in-game graphics
Turned on V-sync
Changed AppData folder permissions to no longer be Read Only
Ran Discord as administrator
Ran Discord with every kind of compatibility setting I could

Some of these seemed silly to me, but people on the internet said it worked for them and I were/am desperate.
I have not tried reinstalling the game because my internet is not exactly fast, plenty fast to run the game. And I have not tried the few suggestions I've read that asked me to change BIOS setting.

Helldivers made my discord not recognize my mic (this has never happened any other time in 8 years) ...so then i was fumbling around with discord and now my game constantly crashes... i cannot play helldivers at all (discord is fine).

I suspect that insane malware game guard anti cheat, never had it on my computer before this game

i hear only terrible things about it...

Small update: I tried reinstalling the game, to no avail, the issue persists.

Turn off "Hardware Acceleration" in your discord settings. Or change it to CPU instead of GPU. Helldivers is taking up all your GPU and leaving non for discord to run.

Already turned off Hardware Acceleration, made no difference. How would I "change is to CPU instead of GPU"?
I really don't think my GPU is tasked to capacity, it's a 4080 but I'll try anything.

I'd say reinstall discord but you already stated the attempt. I assume you're completely uninstalling it and reinstalling it? What about if you ran discord from the web browser instead? I was having the issue you have. I have to reinstall it when it decides to crash. Some days it doesn't give me any issue. Strange really.

I have the same problem~ Then all the attempts on the Internet didn't help~ What should I do? I don't believe that there are only a few people who encounter this problem...

Ravioli's suggestion of running Discord from the web browser worked.
I don't think it should be regarded as a definitive solution, but it's a patchwork solution until a proper one is found.

Bump, same issue with me, Discord crashes a very short time after starting if HD2 is running. I first thought it was Discord updates who went haywire but nope, it only happens with HD2.
Until it's fixed (if ever) no much choice but to use web Discord.

Another interesting crash i just got when starting HD2, it crashed itself right away (stuck on blackscreen for a few seconds), crashed Discord right away, and also crashed Overwatch right away that I had forgotten open in the taskbar (an Overwatch popup gave the error "Your rendering device has been lost"... which therefore point out an issue with HD2 handling the gpu?)
I currently use an rtx3060, ryzen7, 16G ram, W10.
