can't play together with friends

i've been having this problem lately where i can't join my friend on the ship or during a mission and they can't join me either, for them it sais that i'm "in main menu" instead of "on ship" and when i try to join it just gives the error message "Connection error: can't connect to session." to fix this i've tried veriving the files and deleting and redownloading the game, which both did nothing to fix it. for exta info: no VPN or connection isues on other games, pls help i'm getting kinda fed up with this. :)

The incoming connection ports that need to be forwarded for Helldivers 2 are as follows:

Helldivers 2 - Steam

TCP: 27015, 27036
UDP: 27015, 27031-27036

Helldivers 2 - Playstation 5

TCP: 3478-3480
UDP: 3074, 3478-3479

Same issue here, i have tried:
PORT setting as "shogunsmurf" has posted
restarting computer.
restarting router.
restarting steam.
flushed dns.
changed steam profile from public to private to public again.
having friends invite me and using invite to launch game - worked sometimes


i can play as much as i want solo, but i cant join my friends or quickplay. Friends cant join me and during my gameplays solo i have not had a single person join me.
When im in game on a planet terminids or automatrons i open steam and see it says "in main menu" even though im playing. Some random days it works fine, but most days im "stuck" in main menu, no matter what i do.

I have tried the things ive listed several times, none of them have worked for me.

Hmm using ADSL by any chance ? I use to have problems hosting games in W3 myself despite using correct port settings, turns out the default gateway my provider sent me threw blocked certain ports required.

After inquiring with my ISP it turns out most primiary ADSL gateways have more ports blocked standard than with cable or fiber.

i have 1000/1000 fiber, and im cabled with cat6 from pc to router. no wifi

I'm at a loss than, sounds like package not being allowed threw issue but ruled out the likely suspects :(

Already tried that. Didn't work.

Devs notes stated ongoing problems with Friends, matchmaking, etc. Does anyone read the patch notes?

Yes, did you? The update is full 2 months old. Nothing has changed. Besides, there's nothing in the notes about the steam status. And some people are clearing playing without problems, others have had workarounds working for them.

Same here. I also checked that the memory integrity under core isolation on my pc was off, and adjusted the PSN settings.
