I removed a friend by mistake and i cannot add him back

Had this same issue for a few weeks as well now. They simply sent me a new request and it took me off their friends list and now we can't add each other back. I was there was cross progression I'd simply buy the game again on PS5 to play with my friend.

Same thing here, I'm on PC, my friend is on PS5.
We couldn't see each other in the buggy friends menu, so we decided to unfriend and send another friend request.
After unfriending each other we cannot accept friend requests between us anymore.
Extremely bad oversight. A really buggy friend system, now I've seen it all.

Same thing happened to me. It's been an issue practically since launch and it's insane that it still hasn't been fixed.

Bump for this issue. My friend accidentally removed me from the Friend list, now we cannot re-connect as Friends and play together. PC/PS5, crossplay is enabled. I've tried sending him a code and vice versa no luck. The invite did show at first but hitting "accept" does nothing. If "decline" then it goes away. Now we aren't even seeing the request and the other player appears offline, even when we are both online.
