Potential fix for low FPS with low GPU and CPU usage
Since one of the recent patches, I'd gone from around 100+ FPS with an i7 13700K and 3080 to 45 FPS overnight. Overlays would tell me that GPU usage was hovering around 50% and CPU usage was below 40% on all cores so no bottleneck.

After much messing around, I did make a change which brought GPU usage back up to 100% and doubled my frame rate.

On Windows 11. Right click menu on desktop, Display settings>Graphics>Helldivers 2 under the apps list>options.
Change graphics preference from "let windows decide" to "high performance"

With my setup I believe windows was forcing Helldivers to run in low power mode regardless of what was set in the NVIDIA control panel. Be interested if this fix works for anyone else.

Cheers

Stu

This fix didn't help me. :(
I have a 3060 and used to run really high fps in ultra graphics settings. After the May update I can't get over 20fps even after dropping everything to low.

Change render settings to a higher one like native or supersample, wait some seconds and them change to ultra.
This happened to me too, when i changed from ultra to native the fps maintaned, when i reverted back to ultra my fps was back to its normal like in the first weeks

I have this problem really often on my Asus ROG. If I see things stuttering I go into the Amooury Crate (well, g-helper) and switch to the "other" performance (if I'm on Turbo go to Balanced or vice-versa). Then I'm good for the rest of the gaming session.

Thanks to you, it worked out well.
I'm using Ryzen 3950x, 7900 XTX.

While playing Helldivers 2, the FPS is displayed normally on the ship, but when you go out into the field, the displayed FPS is high, but in reality, it becomes very slow, and the frame rate that you can see with the naked eye drops by almost half.

But thanks to you, it's resolved. I'll have to apply it to other games as well.:steamhappy:
