Can't join anyone. I'm appearing "Online" and not "On Ship"

My friends only show me as "Online" and I don't appear to be in a lobby or "on the ship". I've watched tons of videos and read through tons of threads, but no one seems to have a solution to this problem.

No matter what I do, he always says I can't join the lobby. No matter whether it's a quick search, joining manually or joining friends. Some people seem to have this problem, and now I have a game that I can neither play nor refund. great

I tried to contact the ArrowHead support. No response...

i show as on ship but also cant join friends or randoms

i read somewher if you lunch the tutorial from ship then return it will show u on shiop hope this works for u

Set lobby to friends only, go to mission and invite/ask you friend to join you via steam.

Hi my friend is still appearing online but not on ship, and when I try to join him via Steam it says that the time of responde has ran out. Anybody know's what to do?

For additional info, we are playing right next to each other with the same wifi, I dont know if that matters.

the servers are pretty swamped atm due to massive influx of new players so that might be causing issues
