Bluetooth Headsets - No Audio / No Mic

Really surprised to not see this fully reported (that I could find).
Do a google search and you'll see many people stating that Bluetooth headphones do not work with the game. No sound and no mic functionality. I have this problem too.

Apparently something between the game and the hands-free telephony function in windows for Bluetooth headset does not play nice. This really needs to get fixed, especially since it seems to go back to launch.

There are many people relaying how to turn off telephony temporarily, but here is one comment that alleges a more permanent workaround. However, I believe all these routes only address the audio and not mic functionality.

I've found a persistent fix on Reddit.

As anyone who tried Hands-free telephony knows, it re-enables after you restart (+BT microphone gets enabled - at least in my case). To get around this, you can instead disable the Bluetooth Audio Gateway Service.

In your search bar, type Services and open the Services app. Find Bluetooth Audio Gateway Service. Stop the service, then right click and go to properties, change the Startup type to Disabled. This way, the service will remain disabled when you restart your pc.

I'm using a Bluetooth headset and have zero issues, so there has to be something more specific to your situation.
