No PSN account.

Saw the announcement, I don't have a PSN account, I'm not getting one; So what's my recourse here? Is there any technical reason for the forced account link being applied retroactively?

I'm too many hours in for that, and I'm not here for a refund. I'd like to be able to continue to play a game I paid for.

I too am curious what our options will be if this goes through. I hope they walk back on this decision.

I want to continue playing this game and do not want this forced on myself or other Steam users.

I wouldn't want PS5 users to be required to get a Steam account to play with PC players.

It's just gate keeping our fun IMO.

Well, unfortunately for arrowhead I'm aware that I can block entire developers, publishers, and studios. If this goes forward, they'll just be added to the list of developers whose content I will never see again; That's not what I want, but when this feels like they will have stolen something I've paid for from me, that's really my last reasonable option.

I can't see any other reason behind enforcing this than some disconnected from the reality suits going: "yeah, bigger numbers for us" and continue to polish their leather office chairs with their bums, sitting on arses doing nothing all day, just looking at the %% bars. Give me, an actual, technical reason as to why this is NECESSARY, because so far you shoved us it's not and game can function perfectly fine without it.

I don't want a PSN account because I have absolutely zero interest in that platform, Helldivers is working perfectly fine without it on Steam, I am a PC gamer, I don't want to be forced into creating a console account AND linking it with my Steam account that I actually care about.

If they do not reconsider this shoddy decision, I will explore all available refund options. If that does not resolve the issue, I will return to Deep Rock Galactic, a game that treats its players with respect, unlike you, Arrowhead. Requiring players to link a third-party account two months after the game's launch seems suspicious. If there were issues with the linking process initially, it should have been ignored or enforced only for new players who recently purchased the game. While your game is enjoyable, it is not compelling enough for me to accept this humiliation.

On steam the general policy is if you've played less than 2 hours, you can refund it 'usually'. I don't want a refund though; If they were to offer it, I would take one, but that's not what I want.

i wouldnt entire place the blame on arrow head for this one, it seems this has come more from upper management than the devs

To be honest. Making a PSN account isn't available in some countries. This includes some of my friends I play with a ton with. So kind of disappointed finding out this was a forced thing.

It isn't available in MOST countries. Only around 60 actually support it.
