that is stupid.
I do get peoples' concerns in terms of data and privacy, it's not great that you need another platform's account to run a game on Steam (counts for anything with a separate launcher that needs an account too, imo). For me personally it's mostly annoying since I did already have a PSN account and now don't know whether it's linked to my existing PSN account or some ghost account, just like OP it seems.
Ideally the game would work cross-platform in a way where you buy it once and it works across wherever you're logged in, but I realise that's a tall order in 2024.
If they kill access to people who don't have PSN in their countries I too will seek a refund out of principle. You either do it proper day 1 or you don't bother at all with BS like this.
I don't have a PSN. I don't want a PSN Account.
I would rather disable crossplay in the settings on my side.
