No option to link account?

When i got this game at launch it prompted my to link my PSN. I clicked yeah sure and it took me to a webpage that already said "Account linked" without asking for my psn or anything.

In game i don't have my PSN friends added but i can manually add them and crossplay works fine (well it crashes a lot but ya know). I don't seem to actually be linked to any PSN and there isn't an option that i can find to even do so? So what gives, am i perma linked to a ghost psn? what is going to happen with the new forced linking?

I've been asking this question since launch, even opened support tickets but never got a single reply. I guess i just see how it goes once the forced linking is in effect. If the game doesn't work anymore i'll just refund it i guess. Sad because i do like the game and honestly i'm not even bothered by the PSN linking, just wish it'd actually work!

Same, don't remember linking (or even having a PSN account before) but only today I noticed that in the bottom left corner of options tab I have some identifier and I don't know what is that

It's the same for me as well and I can't find any info on the subject for some reason.

another question i have is i have a PSN account already on my PlayStation and i bought the game on there too, my playstation account is still a lower level, will linking my accounts wipe my data? I hope not.

I cant for the life of me, remember if i got any prompts about linking to a PSN account etc; chances are, if i did, i probably did link, but i havent the foggiest idea how i'd go about checking if that is indeed the case or not, lol

You need one account for PC and one for your console games => = 2 accounts.

You think? I think it's only logical as you are not going to buy stuff via PSN for PC, but Steam.

I do get peoples' concerns in terms of data and privacy, it's not great that you need another platform's account to run a game on Steam (counts for anything with a separate launcher that needs an account too, imo). For me personally it's mostly annoying since I did already have a PSN account and now don't know whether it's linked to my existing PSN account or some ghost account, just like OP it seems.

Ideally the game would work cross-platform in a way where you buy it once and it works across wherever you're logged in, but I realise that's a tall order in 2024. capitali$m

Truly a 90000 IQ move. I think I made a PSN account when I joined but there is literally nothing in the game that says *PSN account linked*. Logging in I too have that account identifier code in my options menu.

If they kill access to people who don't have PSN in their countries I too will seek a refund out of principle. You either do it proper day 1 or you don't bother at all with BS like this.
