Discord crashing/closing

Perhaps this isn't the right place for it, but whenever I play there is a 75% chance that within 30 minutes discord is crashed/closed. I've played many other games, and never ever had this issue. I want to play helldivers and talk to my friends who don't own it at the same time, not be forced to choose one or the other.

I'ts probly GameGuard doing its "usual invasive actions".

I've run into this as well trying to screen share the game, try going to:
Discord/User Settings > App Settings > Advanced > Hardware Acceleration and turn that to OFF.

Relaunch discord and see if the issue keeps persisting. Once I did that the random shutting down stopped for me.

Thank you Gato. I had this issue last night. It was crashing every 5 minutes without warning.

Followed your steps and it ran flawlessly after that for 3 hours. Thank you so much

Same, this only started happening recently (about 2 days ago). And it only seems to happen while Helldivers 2 is open, with no other applications other than Discord (for co-op play).

Tried turning off "Hardware Acceleration", but it still crashes every 5-15 minutes or so (but it seems noticeably longer as compared to leaving Hardware Acceleration "On").

Really wish I knew if this was because of GameGuard, or something to do with that Discord "April Fool's lootbox view bot" issue, or both... really had a frustrating moment with this one since Discord closes with no warning / notice.

removing the Hardware Acceleration seems to have fixed the issue. I never had the issue before, seems to be related with nvidia driver also 552.12

The same problem started for me right after i installed nvidia Game Ready driver 552.12,
Since i deactivated the HW Acceleration, discord didnt crash anymore.

A possible solution is to upgrade Discord to 64 bit. For some reason, discord's default download link is for the 32 bit version. Most modern computers don't fully support 32 bit programs anymore

Late to this thread but having the same issues. I haven’t found a fix for the discord app, but a decent work around is logging into discord in your windows browser and closing out the app while playing helldivers. I haven’t had any issues with the browser version of discord while in HD2

I have the same issue since yesterday, which at first my friends hear me with a 10 second delay and after 10-15mins discord would crash. The only thing i can recall that could've started this is updating the nvidia driver.

I actually had the 32bit, so i fully reinstalled Discord with the 64bit. No luck

This has just started happening to me too, was fine for two months. Had a real big sesh yesterday unlocked 4th ship mod for the first thingy to get max ammo for support weps and this morning booom 10 discord crashes in a row. Stopped playing helldivers and discord runs perfectly.
