Controller disconnects during gameplay, then won't reconnect until restart.

I'm using a King Kong 2 Pro controller, and for whatever reason, Helldivers 2 does not like my controller. Yes, I've tested my wires, and I have it set up correctly. It just shuts off during the game, and then I have to restart it to get it running again. This happens when I have steam interface on. Alas, if I turn steam interface off, the deadzone of my controller comes into play, and I can't run no more. :(

I am having a similar issue with my Xbox controller. Every time I load the game and try to use my controller it disconnects randomly while I am in mid game. I have tried a few other games other then just Helldivers 2 and the controller I have seems to work on other games and stays connected. Helldivers 2 seems to have a weird connection issue with various forms of controllers.

Also experiencing a similar issue using an Xbox Elite Series 2 controller. Sometimes my controller will disconnect once a session, but other times it will disconnect multiple times a match. Has only happened with Helldivers 2.

Please help with this. I can play Destiny 2 for hours with no problem. As soon as I start helldivers it just randomly disconnects. I would do the other fixes for disconnecting from bluetooth but it's only helldivers.

It's no doubt because of Game Guard. Probably some back ass attempt to prevent players from making macros that increase firespeed or some ♥♥♥♥. Can't have people cheating when we want that money for super credits!

Same problem here... xbox controller, wired or not, keep disconnecting randomly. No problems on other games and with dualsense instead.

Just bought the have and my Xbox controller keeps disconnecting randomly as well... smh ... haven't even started the tutorial

I am having the same issue. My Xbox controller worked fine for a while and then just started randomly disconnecting during game play. Just started happening for me in the last month, but I've probably only had the game for 2 months. I've updated my controller thru Xbox Accessories, checked all the other updates i could think of even tried a few things to do online that supposedly worked for others to no avail.

i can however usually get mine to reconnect after unplugging and plugging back in my controller. that's about 10 seconds of standing in the same spot on a high paced game though, so it doesn't always work out for me

This started to happen to me randomly yesterday. Have tried everything and no luck yet. Newer built pc as of 3 months and a new dualsense as of 2 weeks. So strange

I'm playing on steam deck and everytime my BT controller dsc, game turns into keyboard and mouse mode and the only thing I can do is restart game, becouse I can't find a way to turn it into controller mode again.

Extremely annoying.

What kind of controller are you using? Game seems to hate Xbox controllers at least on PC. No one in know seems to have issues with PS controllers though

Also getting this using a Switch Pro controller. Will randomly stop working only a minute or two after launching the game.
