Can't accept friend requests !

[Q]

As the title says I can't accept friends requests from anybody, PS5 OR Steam...
I'll include a link to a reddit thread, where a lot more people seem to have this issue...

PS: My in-game name is one letter only as I've always had that on steam, and changing it to something else wouldn't fix the problem either according to this thread, So just writing this in hopes that the devs become aware of this issue.

Interim status: In the meantime, all PC players that I have added appear in the friends list in Helldivers II under "Social". But in order for them to appear in the friends list, you have to change "My profile" from "Friends only" to "Public" in the privacy settings in Steam. Once you have done this, the PC players will appear on the friends list in Helldivers II. As soon as you reverse the settings in Steam, the friends will disappear from the list again. These settings in Steam are therefore directly related.

However, I must point out that I don't currently have any PS players on my friends list. So I can't say whether friend requests work across platforms. Currently, however, they seem to work PC-wide, as long as you make the privacy settings in Steam.

As of 11:45AM CST it seems like the devs are aware of an issue with friend request. If you check out the patch notes on the website for PATCH 1.000.102 at the bottom it says known issues. Doesn't seem like they know our particular issue but they are aware of a friends list issue.

Still a thing for me too, can't see, add or accept my friend from steam (we also both got a playstation accounts linked now, as an attempt to solve the issue). Friend used to have bracket in their name, changed, did not help, also the game still shows them with said brackets when trying to add as friend on HD2.

Got exactly the same problem. I have try evrything. Name public profile try multiple time restart everything several time. So annoying i bought this game to play whit my 2 friends and i cannot.. and i cannot refound the game in support for my friend who bought it on playstation and cannot have a refound hehe. Guess we just have to wait till tes decide to patch it... Any confirmation that they are aware of that prpblem?

Nothing works for me to accept friends except to add them on steam = Crossplay non-existent

any fix soon, just got the game and this is really bad start..

Im adding a steam friend and no go, same for him with my code.
