friend request between PS5 & PC not working

some people say ps5 only accept friend request if the name has 3-16 letters. i only have 1 so i can't accept my ps5 friend or he can't accept me, even if i change my name in Steam, Helldivers still stick to my old Name.

anyone has the same problem or solutions?

Same issue here. I haven't seen a great solution on your main account. What I ended up doing was creating an alternate steam account and then family shared both accounts together. Fired up the 2nd account with a "good" user name, and it worked. Had to start all the way over in terms of progression, however.

I hope they fix this issue soon. I know they had server issues but I'd like to play with friends without problems.

Same, I have 11 characters in my name (I'm on PC) and my buddy (on PS5) has 8 characters in his name yet we can find each other via friend code but can't send a friend request let alone block each other since that's the other option and we wanted to see if it would change but nothing

the same with me name with 2 letters BO

Same here, I tried to change my name on Steam too. We're not alone to face that bug. I hoped that it would be patch on yesterday patch, it is not even in "known issues". What can we do ?

I wrote an email to arrowhead studio support and explained this issue about more then a week ago, but no answer…
