Stuck on infinite spinning cyro tubes after tutorial

I have had issues getting into the game for the past few days and I just recently loaded in past the queue and did the tutorial, however after naming my ship I got stuck on the spinning cryo tubes before my helldiver gets defrosted. I can hear the woman telling me to go talk to the democracy officer and the tv playing adds in the background, but the cryo tubes never stop spinning even after waiting 30+ minutes.

If there a solution to this? I'm not sure what the problem is.

Disconnect your internet, then when it plays the animation and gives you control, plug your internet back in.

This is my situation as well. Finished the tutorial, named by ship, infinitely spinning pods.
Restarted my game, it froze on my ship.
Restarted my game, it went from my ship back to infinite pods.
Restarted my game, get one of the two above each time.

Waiting does nothing. If I get to the pods, I can see my character and make them run around but the camera is locked on the spinning pods. No access to any menus and buttons do nothing.

Trying a reinstall now, but if we get near that 2 hour of game-time I'll be refunding.

No amount of reinstalling or restarted changed anything. I moved to trying unplugging my ethernet.

Disrupting internet before booting up the game will cause an error.
Disrupting internet before getting to the spinning pods will cause an error.
Disrupting internet during the spinning pod animation will result in the animation completing and letting you continue the game. However, this must be done every single time you want to play. Not just the initial time after the tutorial.

Moving on to trying to play a mission, I got all the way to choosing my drop location and loadout, following promptly by an infinite loading screen of watching my pod drop.
Restarting the game at this point will either result in a freeze on a picture of your ship (requires restart) or infinite pods again (requires pulling your cord and replugging it).

Leaning heavily towards refund at this time.

if you are using ethernet and you also have wireless wifi on your pc try using your wireless to get into the game because some ethernet's have no ipv6 and only has ipv4 my buddy's just worked finally oddly enough
