A temporary fix to get you back in the game (blackscreen / crash after intro)
This is merely a temporary fix for TLS issues (to check if that's your case: see Event Viewer -> Windows Logs -> System)

AKA

"The certificate received from the remote server has not validated correctly. The error code is 0x80092013. The TLS connection request has failed." problem.

It's not clear whether it's a user problem (OS related) or the game's issue (the former is more likely to be true).

The "fix" is as follows:

- Open Registry Editor
- Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL
- Create a "DWORD (32-bit) value", name it "ManualCredValidation", set it's value as "1"

It's probably a bad idea to keep these changes permanent but that's up to you.

A better alternative might be the following:

(see if you can figure it out and if it works for you)

Also, bringing this up with the devs might be a sound idea (via Reddit or Discord or whatever).
I personally don't have the means to do that but maybe someone else?

It seems like this might be an ongoing issue:

The "fix" helped me, but why is it a bad idea to keep it permanently?

It supposedly disables certificate checks system-wide. It may make your PC vulnerable for MitM attacks and who knows what else.

This "ManualCredValidation" is barely documented anywhere on the web.
MS site mentions other values but not this one:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/security/tls/tls-registry-settings

I'd say you're probably safe if gaming and browsing websites is all you do. I believe modern browsers implement their own validation mechanisms (OS-independent) but I very well may be wrong on this.
