Huge FPS drop with fans kicking on

Use to have the issue of the game crashing non stop but I’m still having a sporadic issue with no known cause…

My laptop will kick its fans into overdrive even though temps are good and the game will have ridiculously low FPS making it unplayable… I can play for 4+ hours and be okay and other times only about 5-10 minutes… always on a laptop cooling pad with additional fans.

MSI GS75 Stealth.

Not the best but it’s usually fine. Was great on medium settings for the first 10+ hours but I’m trying to stay on low everything to minimize the chances of stuff happening anyways….

Any advice?

The problem is with the poor optimization of the game, it just doesn't exist. Not only will there be more technical problems with each patch, but optimization will also deteriorate. The game was not tested at all before the release.
Most likely, the developers will be able to bring the game to a more or less good condition within a year.
After recent patches, my fps on my laptop jumps from 30-60. I used to play at medium high settings now at medium low settings. Lenovo Legion i7-9750H laptop, 16 G RAM and RTX 2060 6 g

Had the same issue. Rtx 3060, i7-11000, 64 gb

Run directx 11 from steam input, theres an fps guide in the community hub on how to do that. Additionally, i found that disabling steam overlay and global space illumination helps a lot.

Same here and does affect Host connection to other players by DC them all, leaving you alone in mission and if joining a host force you to disconnect (The Host left message). If performance goes nuts or worse. This is not a connection issue.
