Question regarding Helldivers 2 Refresh Rate

Hello everyone!

So I'm not sure it's only me - But having just gone from Enshrouded to this - I notice both game suffer from a similar issue, that is refresh rate (which isn't the amount of FPS I have).

Basically, owning a 240HZ refresh rate monitor, Helldivers 2 really feels like it's running as 60HZ. The FPS I have are totally fine (on a 13900K / 4090 setup), just the refresh rate seems really wrong and result in the game feeling choppy.

Anyone know if this setting can be changed somehow in the game files?

Does the whole scene seem to stutter and be really tricky? like running your fingers trough a comb or.. idk trtrtrtrtrttrttrtrt, ykwim? I have the same issue.

Did you change your desktop refresh rate to 240hz? This is the most common mistake people make when buying high refresh rate monitors. Windows defaults to 60hz, so unless you manually change it, your at 60hz.

use adaptive sync you aint going to hit close to 240 frames anyway so might as well have adaptive refresh turned on

This is what I found to be the issue as well. All my other games signal the monitor to change refresh rates on launch to my monitor's highest settings but not Helldivers. The FPS will be locked at 60hz unless you first manually change the System>Display>Advanced Display and "Choose a Refresh Rate".
