Little PS5 controller help

I had started playing this with a PS5 controller and byt default all actions worked great, could cast my stratagems while running and not locked in place while hitting L1. Somehow a trying out a different controller it seems to have changed these settings, even getting the minimap control in the middle I only got back thru a community layout but know when Im using L1 to use stratagems it stops my movement and ability to move forward which previously didnt affect while using directional pad with L1. Any advice would be appreciated. I have tried a few things as far as some suggesting deleting a section out of a config.vdf file from C:\ > Program Files (x86) > Steam > config.

well if anyone looking with same issue, I ran into 1 min long video from another player for this simple fix. The short of it is basically remap again, go to controller/key bindings etc, scroll down to stratagem list, remap d-pad up to left stick then head to forward movement and rebind with left stick up again, and once more back down to stratagem d-pad up and rebind to its original setting d-pad up.
