OMG! It worked! When I went into the Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound option box, both my VoiceMeeter Input VAIO and my Voicemod MWD Mic were set as default (I am assuming that this was being read from the Sound options menu from Settings) but the "Set as Default" button below was lit up as if they really weren't.
Clicked the button and voila.
You're a lifesaver!
Glad to hear it, gamers.
I hope they quickly release a patch to improve hardware support, bluetooth headsets seem to get the worst of it. Unlike most other games, there is no in-game option to select which hardware should be used by default, so It's likely that's the primary issue.
Can't wait for the ability to berate traitors and morons for murdering a fellow soldier (me, literally every match)
Yeah, that fixed it! Thank you dude
Check your default audio output the same way that the instructions in this thread call for setting the default input settings.
EDIT: I had mixed up what I was trying to say.
Windows search, type change system sound, click the playback tab, scroll down and find what your headset is labeled as (mine was Realtek(R). Set that as your default and reopen Helldivers 2. The bad thing is I have to do this every time I open the game but it allows my mic to be heard
