Random Disconnects

After maybe 20 minutes more or less of playing, sometimes I get a network error pop up and randomly get disconnected from the game I am currently in, even though I am still online and not having a real network issue. Why is that?

I've experienced this the past 2 days. At least for me, post-patch I'm experiencing a lot of disconnects where we play a game and then midway or mostly done, we get sent back to each of our own ships with the message saying "Failed to establish network connection". I rarely had this problem the last 3 weeks prior to the patch...but now it's been a more frequent occurence.

Yup, exactly the same issue as me. Really annoying...

It's an issue with either Steam or the way this game is tied to Steam. I happens when you get disconnected from your steams friends list, I saw someone say it has to do with Steam Authentication.

I noticed that too after I got disconnected from the game. I believe you are correct in that if Steam sees you disconnected like when they do maintenance on Tuesdays or randomly during the week or whatever you will also get disconnected from your game in Helldivers 2. Sounds like the multiplayer is directly tied to Steam, like a Steamworks game.

Bump, the game is legitimately unplayable atm, you are lucky if you complete a mission without disconnecting let alone a whole op.

I have not been able to complete a match since the update without a crash. or losing all teammates.

Whenever me and one of my friends play (both on Steam) we get randomly disconnected from the game we are playing and also from Steam friends. When reconnecting to Steam friends i notice that all other friends on my list are still playing the games they were in and werent disconnected but me and my mate playing HD2 were.

This was happening over and over again last night, couldnt complete a mission before getting disconnected. If I play the game solo or with randoms it doesnt happen.

I confirm that lately it has been impossible to play long missions and farm resources. This is very annoying! How to upgrade a ship if stable disconnects occur?

Yeah, thank you arrowhead for the DCs. it is always fun to play for 30 or 40 minutes, make every side objective just to get a DC and get NOTHING for your time spend. and because i like to join randoms i cant even rejoin. and it is 100% not my system, every other game/stream/download works without flaws and super fast

Unfortunately this has forced me to play solo most of the time, at least it forces me to also get better at the game. Getting dc after 20+ mins, or worse at the extract, and receiving no rewards while playing co-op is certainly a big issue in a co-op game.

i drop randomly. it when it does it crashes the entire game with no error report to send or to take pics of. not every 20 mins but maybe a few times in a couple hours

The game disconnects me but only when one of my friends joins the game and I am not the host

i been dealing with these persistent disconnects since before the patch, now im not gonna pretend my net is the greatest but i have periods where I don't have these dcs and then i disconnect every single mission without fail
