Gigabyte Control Center causing Helldiver 2 game crash
I have a Gigabyte RTX 4090 Gaming OC and run the Gigabyte Control Center. I've never had any issues, and leave all setting on default. But for some reason in the game Helldiver 2 whenever I start a mission the game hard crashes my PC, with a buzzing sound from speakers and a hard reboot.

In the crash logs I see GbtCloudMatrix.exe as the issue. That is a GCC application. So, I closed GCC and now the game is 100% stable. Re-enable GCC 100% crash.

Any ideas what is going on here? I've never seen this happen before and all other games and applications are 100% stable.

Thanks!

The game's anticheat software is known to have issues with some other software you might be running in the background. You might get trouble when running some overclocking software, or antivirus, or anything that touches the process priorities. It'll also have issues with some macro software.

So the cause is most likely the GameGuard anticheat software that always runs when the game is running. The solution in your case is to close the Gigabyte Control Center when you plan to play Helldivers 2.

Very possible, another thing I noticed was when I had Supersampling instead of Native selected it was pegging my GPU at like 97-100% load, which is extremely rare, and the fans were in full effect. This was just on the ship by the way, not even in a mission.

As soon as I dropped to Native it went back down to like 50-60% load. I am wondering if also Supersampling is causing the card to overheat?

I can run something like Cyberpunk 2077 with 4k upscale mods hitting 97% of max memory, but the overall load is lower and it runs great. Hmm... interesting.

Well I just had it crash again same way with GCC running. My GPU load was only 46%. I alt-tabbed out of Helldivers 2 and sure enough same crash in same way. And as suspected GbtCloudMatrix.exe is the crash dmp.

So I am thinking GCC, and/or something else... tough to nail down 100%
