Friends not showing up in social tab + file always not validating

this is a resent problem but every time i open the game it says i have 0 friends online and 0 in game despite on steam they are online and in game as i can connect to them through steam but they are not marked as online in game and ive just found that every time i open the game and close it then verify the game files there is always at least 2 files that fail to validate if that has anything to do with the social tab not working idk

Added 2 previous friends that when missing from my list after the patch.
But I can't add a friend who just bought the game. When i go accept friend request, nothing happens.

same here since days. i cant even see the map infos (anymore?) like how many HD's there, how maniy died how many bullets shot. All my Steam Friends not visible but i see those i befriended trough the game

Same exact issue but i can not get into any multiplayer games i can still do solo for some reason

I got the same problem as both of you every-time i open HD2 it gets worse when i posted it i could join others now i cant

Steam friends list might be set to private or friends only in privacy setting. Check if it is, and change it to public.

Social tab worked for me after I changed my setting and restarted my game. Steam friends started to show up.
