Missing Medal Reward
Neither me nor my buddy got our 45 medals for the event.......

Me neither; but my buddy seemed to have got it though.
I saw the message when opening up the galactic map that the event was successfully completed and I even played on both worlds several times.

did you participate in any missions on those planets? Maybe service grants citizenship... er medals.

I participated on both planets during the event and didn't get anything for it, is there something about this system that I am missing?

Like I got the message that it was successful in game, but nothing in terms of rewards.

Yes. The completed boxes were ticked after participating. For several days in one of the cases.

I haven't received medals for the last 2 major orders, kind of a bummer.
