corrupt disk after trying to download patch

Trying to get the new patch updated but I keep getting "corrupt disk" message and the download fails. I've verified files and cleared the download cache on steam and restarted, I've also completely uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Can anyone help with this?

The obvious response would be to perform a Windows disk check on the hard drive in question and make sure you don't have...a corrupt disk?

File Explorer > This PC > Right click the hard drive you've installed the game to > Properties > Tools tab > Error Checking (Check).

But it is not obvious to people who don't spend 24/7 on our computers.

Yeah, i tried all that. No luck.

I ended up just installing it and reinstalling on a different drive. It was originally installed on my D: drive which is a solid state so I moved it over to my C: drive which is just a regular hard drive and it fixed my issue
