Can't Update

Steam is endless looping through downloading the update > verifying/installing patch > "corrupt files error" then repeats process.

How do I fix?

Yep, even did Verify files on this game as well as others successfully. It's still stuck in Downloads doing download > verify > install > repeat

Exit and restart did nothing? Maybe delete the games app manifest? Might force the verify to make files

Seems to be working now after the loop process, but thanks anyways

Had to uninstall and reinstall to fix. Hope this dosnt keep happening

How I fixed it
1. open task manager
2. close the task named "igfx EM Module"
3. open steam
4. right click helldivers and click properties
5. go to installed files and verify the game files
6. restart PC
this fixed it for me

I was just about to do a discussion about the same issue, glade I hadn't finished typing it yet. I'm glade I decided to see if I was the only one with the issue with a google search. After reading the different reply's seems a uninstall and reinstall is the only solution I'm willing to do. and huh, I thought I had more hours on the game than I do, what ever.
