Can't accept friend codes between PS5 and Steam

Bought HD2 for Steam to play together Steamdeck and PS5 with girlfriend, but the Friend code doesn't accept the invite. Very frustrating. Tried two Steam accounts and two PSN account, nether combination works, every account has a normal leghth name. Any possible fixes or workaround? Or this is related to the recent patch

Getting the same, finds the PS5 player, you click accept then it turns into a "pending" message

So making a lot of assumptions my end after trying to play with people on PS5 today and doing some googling around:

There was an issue with steam name character lengths or special characters. Some people managed to fix this by changing their steam but that stopped working for others.

Since the new patch today, crossplay friend requests have broken for a lot of people.

I have very PSN friendly name Teagon, wanted to know if this issue is brand new because people with names like Zu complained since this game launched

I got the game just to play with my friends on PS5 and I cant even connect to them? This bug should’ve been fixed or at least acknowledged by now. How was there a major patch but this issue is still being swept under the rug

Same problem here as well. Friend on PS5 can't load social tab and keeps getting "Please wait democratically..." message. Needs to be fixed ASAP.
