Game freezes on exit

After the first time exiting the game, once I restart to play again any time I exit the game after that it freezes after selecting "Exit Game" and requires a force-quit via Task Manager. Restarting my computer seems to fix the issue, so it's like once per restart the game will exit fine and any time after that it just locks up on exit.

Yes, i have/had this issue too.

I havent had it today, but i recently went back to an older driver version to fix an issue that was cropping up, so perhaps that fixed the above issue too - i'll report back if i happen to get the game freezing upon exit again though.

(atm, i exit game ok but within a minute or two, my pc crashes and i need to hard restart :/)

I've also had to do this. Admittedly I don't mind much, since I usually have Task Manager already open when I change the process's priority higher since it's such a CPU hog.

Similar, though I just get a screen capture freeze on exit, which annoyingly blocks any other window on the display, including task manager. Windows key brings up the task bar overlay so the display is responding. Sometimes Right-clicking the game icon and selecting Close removes the screen (HD2 is still running in the background according to task manager) That seemed to work when I exited from my own ship, this last time I tried quitting from another player's lobby and had to restart PC.

Next time I will try Win+M to see if I can get the game UI window to respond. (works in fullscreen mode)

I just had the game freeze on me as i exited; so the previous driver solution for another problem i had didnt help with this one (first freeze since the rollback)

I've been having this same issue, just started playing the game so hopefully an update can fix it. I've been ending task when it does this to me. Frustrating.

as of the most recent update, this is happening to me as well. never had an issue with crashes / freezing before.

also sometimes the nProtect whatever anti-cheat doesn't load and the game itself doesn't load.

I started playing this again and my only way to get to task manager is windows+tab to create a new desktop and move task manager to it. Kind of annoying to exit. Anyone ever find a solution?

Can't close the game normally, and no I can't close it from task manager if it freeze, bc my pc stay stuck with the game on top layer, so I've to restart my pc...

I've tested alt+f4, and it work without crashing the game, but Steam considers the game is still running... --'
