AMD crash fix 100% working
After being able to reproduce this issue consistently, it has to do with some instruction from the game that pushes the GPU to 100% and makes the gpu clock want to run away (+3ghz on a 7900XTX). That is why setups (including mine) with undervolt/OC crash more frequenly and some people have reported that returning to default profile fixes the issue. The same happens by reducing intensive GPU settings like AA or SSGI. The system becomes unstable and the amd driver crashes

The fix that I found that works (playing 10 hours without crashing) is to select a custom OC profile on amd adrenalin tuning tab, push the mV setting all the way to the right (1150mv for my 7900xtx), increase power limit to 5% or 10% if your temps take it without excessive fan rpms, this will prevent the GPU to become unstable if there is a clock spike, and more importantly: DO NO LET YOU GPU REACH 100% USAGE. Keep it between 70-80%, there are several ways to do this: use vsync to cap your framerate, if you have a high refresh monitor cap your fps to 60 with radeon chill (min fps 60, max fps 60) or rivatuner, do not run native resolution and use the upscaler to lower the gpu load. you can enable AA and SSGI and enjoy the candy eye, these ARE NOT FIXES as reported by other users, its just another way to lower the gpu load.

For my particular rig, I run a 4k 120hz monitor, so vsync is not an option, just capped the framerate to 60 fps and run ultra quality upscaler, my gpu stays within 70% to 80% usage, have not had a single crash in 3 days.

Thank you for this! Set mine up exactly and have not experienced any crashes.
I am running a brand-new rig. AMD 7 7800X3D processor, Gigabyte B650B motherboard, DDR6 32GB RAM, Radeon 7900XT, and freshly installed Windows 11. All sensors indicate that the rig is running cool under load. I've downloaded latest firmware and drivers for all components, including AMD GPU driver version 24.2.1 that has Helldiver 2 hotfix. Tried all popular fixes, including this one mentioned on this thread. One thing that is consistent. The game crashes without fail within 10 minutes of playing time. GPU processing never goes above 60% and the frame rate is capped to 60fps. This is beyond frustrating.
just finishing building my first gaming PC 7800x3d 7900xtx 32gig rams new 4k monitor. 3k dollars to not able to play a game. have to use my old gtx1660 ti laptop to run it.not going with AMD again
The real fix is to set your core clock to like 90 or 85%. It seems some board vendors are clocking their cards far too aggressively. You can hit 100% usage all you want here with no crash.

Still crashes for me even on new drivers and with custom profiles as I normally use an under-volt profiles anyway but also saw in windows notifications saying for AMD Software: Adrenaline Edition 'Application has been blocked from accessing Graphics hardware' never seen that one before but might then explain why the game crashes if windows then blocks the driver software from talking to the GPU.

running a 7600. these settings didnt even touch it. still crashing bad. :Lee:
Yeah if the dudes on the 7900xt are having issues the rest will suffer even more
At this point it's clearly on the developers.
Even with a 7900XTX and 7800x3d I keep gettin' crashes
7900XTX 7950X3D has the same issues. :P It's stated in AMD patch notes aswell that they know / have fixed the GPU crashing issues. However they clearly still need to tinker with something. GIve it a month tops and they'll probably have the majority of the GPU crashes out the window.
Since the used3d11 is gone this is unplayable for me. Hard system crashes on my 5700XT with green screens and reboots. Before I had to do what OP mentioned to get it running for an hour or 2.

Installing this driver fixed it for me: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-rad-win-24-2-1-helldivers-2

This driver seems to have made things better for me, I played a few missions, alt tabbed a few times, no crashes.
I was able to exit the game for the first time ever.

AA and SSGI enabled, my card tuning still enabled (undervolting).

I got a blue screen when installing this driver on my 7900 xtx. Anyone else having this problem?

I'm using the same graphics card and this game crashes after about 10 minutes in game for me. Ran Elden Ring, Cyberpunk, Armored Core without any issues. Frustrating I can't play this game with my friends.

The problem is the engine. Try running Darktide in DirectX 12. Same crashes. Same engine.

Seems like i found a solution for my System!

First I put my radeon adrenalin Helldivers 2 options to standard. Second I rebooted, entered bios/cmos and flsashed it to the latest version. No crash since then. Before I could barely play for 5 to 15 minutes! Not i did two hours and quitted the game myself, was a great feeling 😅

So try flahing your bios - hope it helps you too!
