HELLDIVERS™ 2

AMD crash fix 100% working
After being able to reproduce this issue consistently, it has to do with some instruction from the game that pushes the GPU to 100% and makes the gpu clock want to run away (+3ghz on a 7900XTX). That is why setups (including mine) with undervolt/OC crash more frequenly and some people have reported that returning to default profile fixes the issue. The same happens by reducing intensive GPU settings like AA or SSGI. The system becomes unstable and the amd driver crashes

The fix that I found that works (playing 10 hours without crashing) is to select a custom OC profile on amd adrenalin tuning tab, push the mV setting all the way to the right (1150mv for my 7900xtx), increase power limit to 5% or 10% if your temps take it without excessive fan rpms, this will prevent the GPU to become unstable if there is a clock spike, and more importantly: DO NO LET YOU GPU REACH 100% USAGE. Keep it between 70-80%, there are several ways to do this: use vsync to cap your framerate, if you have a high refresh monitor cap your fps to 60 with radeon chill (min fps 60, max fps 60) or rivatuner, do not run native resolution and use the upscaler to lower the gpu load. you can enable AA and SSGI and enjoy the candy eye, these ARE NOT FIXES as reported by other users, its just another way to lower the gpu load.

For my particular rig, I run a 4k 120hz monitor, so vsync is not an option, just capped the framerate to 60 fps and run ultra quality upscaler, my gpu stays within 70% to 80% usage, have not had a single crash in 3 days.

Happy freedom and democracy delivery citizens

Cheers

7900 XT

Yesterday I installed the latest AMD driver and atm I´ve no crashes anymore.
Radeon Super-Resolution active, 2560x1080, AA enabled, global illumination and screen space off. settings on high/ultra.
on a 7700 xt and it still crashed for me.. it seems to trigger on some specific missions. gdi, idk what's causing it

This driver seems to have made things better for me, I played a few missions, alt tabbed a few times, no crashes.
I was able to exit the game for the first time ever.

AA and SSGI enabled, my card tuning still enabled (undervolting).
This still working for anyone??
i have solution DONT BUY CRAP FROM AMD... INTEL AND GEFORCE RULES! xD
For me, the simplest fix ultimately was the following.

In AMD Tuner, set a "GLOBAL TUNING" GPU tune with Max Frequency 2300 and Max voltage all the way to the right. By setting this as a "Global" the between game and loading spikes are squashed and the game runs fine with any setting applied under the hood. I suspect the OP was the most accurate and that something not part of the game process itself is performing a run away function. Maybe their trying to pre-render the next environment or spinning up a child thread or something and it just runs full bore until something goes unstable. performing a global limit on clock speed it has totally squashed any issues. We could probably find a safe max voltage but 2300 has worked for me outright.
7800xt 3440*1440 same pb but dont found how to resolve them yet....
any tips for a guy who only get blue screened after launch? game worked fine for 55 hours of play and now i cant even get into the game.

Ist this really a new Driver? It says 24.2.1. in the AMD Page but when I Download the file it is some 23.10. Version from Feb2016 (at least the Name tells so).

Even when I want to install it gives me the older Version number but tells me it is an Upgrade.

I am really confused If I should Install the Driver or not

AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 24.2.1 for HELLDIVERS™ 2 Driver Version 23.40.19.01

I've installed it a few days ago. Within Adrenalin Edition it says: Released 2024/02/15

/Edit:
The driver just dont have the WHQL certification

Same problem with 7900 XTX + 7800X3D + 32gb corsair vangeance EXPO (but with out expo profile) all watercooled. Temperature is good : 38°c GPU and 50°c CPU

I crash after few minutes :( I tried with AA + SSGI off ,limited FPS, upscaling , driver 24.2.1 for hell divers ...

Not working for me >:(

Come on AMD fix it !!!! you still struggling with drivers ,It hasn't changed in all these years pfff
I'advise you to read up or watch some videos on under/overvolting along with under/overclocking (they kinda go hand in hand). Just slamming sliders to the right is a gamble at best.

Stuff like this might work for certain games, but not for others. There's a process for tuning your card. to make sure it's stable. Whether you're goal is power efficiency or max performance, the process is the same. It's one of the reasons I've been loving the AMD brand since I switched. The adrenalin software blows control panel out of the water.

I've uninstalled the game for now. The crashes were brutal. I can deal with CTD's. But gpu driver timeouts constantly? No thanks.

That sketchy anti-cheat was def a problem too. I will reinstall and play when the AMD compatibility issues are resolved and most importantly, Arrrowhead either eliminates or replaces this gameguard cancer with something else. I hear that's actually in talks.

Besides, I got a backlog with years worth of games to play lol. I'm sure this is true for many steam users.
7900XTX + 7950x +32gb, My temps are bad (core temps are 83ºC and 100ºC hotspot) but I can run other demanding games no problem like this. Only on this game it crashes after 10 to 30 minutes of gameplay.

Where else can we post about this to raise awareness to AMD or Devs?
(Spends thousands on top notch gaming rig) ... (Pulls up $300 steam deck just to play this game).
FOR AMD USER CRASH, THE SOLUTION IS DISACTIVATE PBO. IN BIOS
