please, make it possible to choose whatever audio/mic you like in the GAME settings
I wasn't sure if it was just me and my cheap "gaming" comp. Visuals are fine, lag isn't ever super bad issue. BUT HOLY SPACE CRAP - THE AUDIO CRACKLE IS INSANE!
I've tried all my audio options (although not familiar with the "telephony" setting), hardware and settings without yet spending half the day searching the net for things I can do to my comps actual audio set-up. I even tried turning off the music and rearranging all the levels.
Yet I have tweaked so many different things and when ALL the sounds rises I just get more and more crackle. At times it feels like I do actually get a little frame stutter when the audio crackle glitch starts to ramp up. Even on the ship, it's like there's spots with layers of subtle ambient noise or something, with more players the crackle will ramp up there, THEN some minor frame loss.
Info, Details, a Patch, a work around: I'd be happy to hear ANYTHING other than the crackle.
(otherwise, pretty much in love with the game for now. lol)
As anyone who tried Handsfree telephony knows, it re-enables after you restart (+BT microphone gets enabled - at least in my case). To get around this, you can instead disable the Bluetooth Audio Gateway Service.
In your search bar, type Services and open the Services app. Find Bluetooth Audio Gateway Service. Stop the service, then right click and go to properties, change the Startup type to Disabled. This way, the service will remain disabled when you restart your pc.
after you disable the service, you need to restart your headphones
