GameGuard: Failed to connect to the update server

I can no longer launch my game, it shows me an error message: "GameGuard: Failed to connect to the update server. Check your network connection and try connecting again later"

My internet connection works very well, I updated the game yesterday, after the update I played without any problems.. and this morning it no longer works.

Am I the only one having this problem? how to fix it?

You're not, but currently we've tried pretty much everything under the sun we can think of to fix it and havent been able to. It seems like we're just kinda SoL until the devs at least acknowledge it as an issue, which they aint done yet.

Not that we've found yet. The only thing i havent tried is reinstalling windows. That may or may not work. It apparently fixed a different gameguard issue for some people, but i dont know of anyone who's had this particular issue trying it yet. Aside from that, ive only heard of one solution: wait and pray they fix it.

Reinstalling Windows to play one game that has some bonkers anti-cheat that doesn't actually work (people are still cheating the samples).

I had the same issues for a couple hours. Finally decided to verify integrity of the files, and that seemed to do the trick. During the verification I received a message about the Gameguard files/registry being cleared or something.

Seemed to do the trick. It looks like it also forced some sort of update.

Hope it helps someone else.

i have been able to get round it by using vpn and connecting to america and it worked for me

Try turning them on that's worked for me so far.

Make an exclusion for the Helldivers directory folder in Windows Defender. Worked for me =)
