Still. Cannot. Sart. The. Game.

At this point, some sorta Dev support would be welcomed, otherwise I am going to refund this game. Every-time I press play from steam, the game launches, I skip the opening cutscense (Though this part dosent matter), get to where I see the "Transmission" and then it crashes either immediately after or when it shows the dude in the drop ship. I have disabled literally everything that has been advised to disable, and still cannot get past this. I have given gameguard all permissions, have deleted and reinstalled the game.

I WANT to play your game, I do not care about the DRM, or care that it even HAS gameguard, I don't care if the game has MTX, I just want to play. Seriously, fix this, or help ME fix this because this is absurd that after 5 days, i am STILL haveing this problem and so are many others.

So, I can play now. All I did was uninstalled the game, deleted the Helldivers 2 folder in Appdata>Roaming>Arrowhead>Helldivers 2 and for some reason, it works now? Iv done that many times over before, but this time it just worked.

Edit 2: So, its back to crashing.. after I closed the game, but if I delete gameguard folder, restart computer, run game after restart, it seems to work. Thats a lot of bull, so I hope that gets fixed

Edit 3: Alright, iv deleted sonic studio virtual mixer and it seems the game is running fine now. Unsure why on my rig it caused so much issues, but on my sisters it didnt cause any issues at all. So go to your sound settings and disable any extra audio things that arent default I guess.

I had this exact problem, crash at the cutscene/skiping the cutscene. I found a "fix" tho it's very specific. I kill some background task such as Overwolf/Outplayed (used for recording games, has an overlay on helldivers 2), Hamachi (dunno why it's running) and some oculus processes. My guess is on the overlay of Outplayed cuz when i removed it not only the games started but the Msi Afterburner fps count appeared which wasn't the case.

This is crazy, how can they release a game that can't even be played? I've done everything to get this game going and it just crashes every single time right at the intro

I dont have any of those things and still no go man. I'm stuck with the game now (Not that I want to refund it) I spent my whole off day troubleshooting this on and off until I reached the 3 hour mark, I honestly just hope some patch soon drops that fixes this.

I don't know what is your problem but I'm actually playing it on linux under Proton not at 100% quality but it is playable..

just downloaded new patch and STILL crashing during tutorial.

Same here! Today the game showed up in geforce experience, I was able to put to low all graphic settings, and yet no luck.

with all graphics set to lowest in geforce experience I was able to get further than I have yet before crashing. Got almost to the gate of the training place.

I don't understand... Since I bought the game, I was able to play 2 times, every other launch is blocked by GameGuard.... I did not change anything. software or hardware, but I was able to launch the game the 9th and the 13th but all the days inbetween and now, IT IS BLOCKED BY GAMEGUARD!! Holy **** ! I don't care if they keep or change this GameGard, I just want to PLAY!!!

That guy has been going into every thread whiteknighting the ♥♥♥♥ out of the anti-cheat for whatever peculiar reason.
It's just weird that the anti cheat for me let me by fine when I first launched, threw a fit the second time, and then didn't complain at all for a whole day. Then it decided it didn't want to work at all yesterday and today.

Same here. Finally started to get some good multiplayer matches after trying all day. Only quickplay would work so I'd get matched with someone way higher level on a dramatically harder mission at my puny level 3. Did a full lobby finally though during one of my solo matches so that was nice. I'm trying to validate install files rn so I can hopefully connect to servers. Tip for anyone else doing so. I thought my verification wasn't working until I noticed a small popup mentioning that Gameguard needed to be uninstalled with a yes or no. Click yes and the actual verification will start. Kind of regretting not clearing some space on my SSD to fit this because loading times and this verification are taking foreverrrrr.

Actually I think some of my issues can be explained by my premium Norton 360 anti-virus randomly blocking gameguard's from network access throughout the day. I don't know if it does so ALL the time as I've been able to play somewhat and haven't whitelisted gameguard. I've read mention that deleting gameguard fixed server connection and general bugginess issues for some people? Is it really that simple?

Ok, so I think I am actually stable and its working now. I deleted the game as well as the folder in roaming, restarted, deleted sonic studio stuff and now I launch in game and fiddle with settings and not crash.
