RTX 4090 + 13900k Constant crashing including a BSOD

Figured I'd just make a post for visibility. I know I'm not the only one but there's so many posts from people with AMD 7000 series cards that I wanted to make sure we get seen as well. Myself and a friend are both running RTX 4090s and i3900ks, (he has a kf). Neither of us have been able to complete a mission over like 30 min since the game released. I can occasionally complete a short one but the game crashes 9/10 times. At one point I even got a BSOD and had to do a full system reset. I've tried literally every fix on here that i've seen. Turning off AA and global illum, verifying cache, turning off MSI afterburner, capping FPS, lowering specs, full re-install, etc etc. Nothing has any effect. Game just dies after 10-20 min.

I'm glad other people are enjoying themselves, would like to be able to do the same. I know the devs are working on it.

RTX 4090 + 14900KF here. 9 out of 10 Missions, randomly during the mission, i get a screen freeze for 5-10 seconds, then crash to desktop without any error or warning. I bet it´s those damn e-cores again.

I tried this AMD driver. The game sill crashes and I get periodic freezes but the crashes don't completely bugger the GPU driver and cause my system to freeze. The game crashes particularly if you alt-tab. Turning off AA and the global lighting in the graphics settings also helps.

My system specs:

Cant play since the patch from 02/16/24. I have a Ryzen 7 7700 and a RTX 3090. BSOD or total freeze at start up of the game. Tried everything like update all drivers of graka, mobo etc. and even updatet the bios. Nothing helped, Before the patch everything was fine.

Try switching GPUs. I have a RX 7900XTX that was making my game crash every minute I was in a game. I swapped out my GPU for a 2080 that I had and I haven't crashed yet.

Exact same issue. CTD on the strategem screen. Just built a brand new box and I can't play at all. Most frustrating thing in the world.

Same issue on 13900KS and 4090. Just started today, also seeing other players crashing out of every single game I played tonight. One dude crashed like four times and kept getting re invited.

I was playing on one of the snowy looking planets all night not sure if that matters.

i have this problem too after 40 hours of no issues. ime convinced the last patch has broken something vital.

have tried every reccomendation i have seen and still no fix. when discord is open it does also shut that down on crash too. tried running with it off and almost no other programs running yet still crashes. i am losing hope.

I wish I crashed to desktop. My system just dies in an instant but the power lights are still on. Even a BSOD is more comforting than this. It seems to be getting worse, and I am not sure I can even finish a mission now.

4090, 13900k, no crashes here. Do you have Hardware accelerated GPU scheduling enabled? Try enabling it. Also Enable intel turbo boost and XMP for your ram.

4090, 13900k . Same problems, sometimes freeze, sometimes crash, 2 BSOD... Kinda disgusting, even more when I have to wait 30min-1h of queue at night

Sadly not, I've used process lasso to completely disable them (did same in Wo long and it was a fix for performance) even disabled windows dynamic boost... Disabled core parking..

But it has zero effect on Helldivers2


I was playing perfectly smooth and fine on Tuesday,
Saw patch on steam, closed game... Patched..
Loaded game and was instantly greeted with awful performance,
They did the same thing like 3 days after release, then REVERTED the patch as it caused this issue.
They just won't revert this one....
