Two, Powerdraw issue. This can be linked to unlimited frames and might be asking more of your PSU than it can provide.
Solution?
Make sure your FPS is capped for one and two, do a benchmark (Outside the game.) to ensure there is no hardware related issues lingering about.
The game doesn't have an FPS cap limiter tmk. You have to do it in your GPU control panel. It's suggested you set your FPS limit in that panel to your monitor's refresh rate. It avoids any issues like that in the future.
It does seem like a powerdraw issue, but I don't think it's fps related. For me it happens when returning from a mission. My system isn't overheating and the fps is locked at 60. I was suspecting my PSU being faulty at first, but more and more people are reporting the same issue.
Unfortunately there's a lot of fanboying going on that's trying to deny it because... sad, but it's all over the steam boards, reddit, and other discussion forums. smoke there's fire.

And FYI I capped my FPS to 60.
But other than that just the constant game crash so many people are dealing with I can't even get through a whole mission.
