Friends not showing up in my 'Social' tab

As the title says...I can join my friends using the Steam overlay, but the 'Social' tab doesn't show my friends at all.

Running into the same issue here with a group of 3. 1 shows steam connected friends where I can see what mission there on, if they are on their ship etc.. The other one shows offline for the both of us and when we turn crossplay off, it removes his name from the friends list completely. maybe a sony and steam connection issue? or arrowhead connection problem with one of em *Shrug* I've been trying to figure this out for like 4 hours...

they are haven group play issues cause i got a friend req and he is on steam but shows off line on my end

I was running into this as well at one point. I found that i had crossplay turned off and once i turned crossplay on i could see fiends list.

The problem I'm having is that HD2 isn't showing *ANYONE* in my Social tab *EXCEPT* the 2 that I have friended through HD2 itself. No Steam Friends or anything.

I am having the same issue. Turning crossplay on and off again doesn't seem to fix it for me either

Same issue as well, also tried to join a random lobby and the game just refused to connect to the lobby

I am also having the same issue. My friends are not showing up in my social tab and they need to set it to public before they can invite me to their game.

Can confirm it's still an issue. Steam friends showed up fine the first day I tried the game, but now they don't anymore. Tried turning crossplay and matchmaking privacy on and off, restarting the game, restarting Steam, etc. Nothing works so far.

its bugged since release though ..

wish they invest more time in fixing current bugs then thinking about nerfing stuff this early on and creating more bugs ..

we are supposed to kill bugs .. not multiply them .. thats kinda traitorous behaviour from my point of view
but not like Super Earth didnt created the bug problem themselves ..
