Bluetooth Audio Issue
Was playing fine with my headphones plugged in. Swapped to my bluetooth headphones in order to do some other stuff and whenever Helldivers 2 is launched it makes the rest of my PC's audio sound like its coming through a tin can. When Helldivers 2 is closed down, it immediately goes back to normal.

Devs please fix. There is no audio issues with wired connection but with bluetooth there seems to be a huge issue.

In windows settings, devices, right click headphones, properties, under one of the tabs disable hands free telephony

This resulted in game audio either not enabling or being super choppy, like appearing in half a second bursts

I'm having similar issues with a wired headset. Mine sounds more like violent static than tin can though.

EDIT: I was having really bad crackling/static audio. I switched the audio from "game" to "chat" and it sounds perfect now :D I'm using Steelseries Arctis 5 I think... had em awhile lol they are wired only, hope this helps!

Welcome to the Windows Crap Bluetooth Audio. Sounds like you are using a headset, not headphones. This is not a HD2 issue, it is a Windows issue. There currently is no way to change the BT audio settings (you cannot use A2DP on Windows with headsets) within Windows as it seems to use the HSP BT audio profile for headsets (makes sound quality sound bad).

Try this if you want to ensure that it is HD2... Open Discord, enter a voice channel and listen to the audio coming out.

There is absolutely something wrong with the game. I have played literally hundreds of other games with my current headset (WH-1000XM4) and no other game had issue with changing to Headset settings (microphone of my headset is disabled in Windows)

I have Bose QC35 headphones and when the game launches it switches to a low quality profile (similar to being on an phone call).

No other game I've played has this issue, and even my headphones mic is disabled in Device Manager and in other menus.

Windows key - type 'services' and select - double click on 'Bluetooth Audio Gateway Service' - Click Stop button - Change the Startup type to Disabled - Click OK button

My current workaround was Device Manager > Sound, video and game controllers; and disabled the "hands free" entry for my headphones. I also disabled the similar entry in audio inputs and in bluetooth.

This wasn't necessary in other games. For other games I just had to set my Windows mic to be realtek and then it worked.

This fixed the issue for me

This IS HD2's issue because I used a few different bluetooth headsets on win10 and 11 and there's no audio in any of them ONLY in helldivers. The devs are so f lazy, i've made like 5 support threads about this and no one cares
people give these devs way too much credit man, the amount of ♥♥♥♥ bugs that they refuse to even admit exist despite how easily most of them can be reproduced is insane.

It is not a game bug.
