Is modding Bannable but all I want is 2 mods.

they said they won't ban you manually but if their anti cheat detect you and bans you it's your fault

in reality they don't mind that much, just watch for their anti cheat

but odds are that thing wouldn't pick up an "I win button" It's the cheapest fer a reason. I'd bet real money it comes up with orders of magnitude more false positives than it ever does with legitimate vectors.

Yup thats why everyone here is crying about being banned right? I mean, i've literally not seen one person get banned or complain about it. Keep that fear mongering going though.

is there a way to play this game offline to play with mods?? just bought this game like 10 minutes ago and even tho i've been seeing gameplay of it for a while i have no idea about the technicalities of it or how the online works lol

Probably not gonna mod it in a while, especially not if it's bannable, but i've seen today that someone was working on a Star Wars Helldivers mod and i was like "damn i gotta play this thing"

AH wasn't exactly clear if the anti-cheat had been setup to whitelist tampering of non-gamelogic files.
I'm not even certain the anti-cheat was setup by AH, that maybe a sony deal.
So there is a risk.

Model alterations and audio swaps don't seem to be a problem with the anti cheat. I've been playing with multiple non-gameplay altering mods for several months now, including the A-10 Warthog one, with no issue.

I suspect the mods that actually change stats or gameplay mechanics, giving you a direct advantage, would most likely be detected by the anti-cheat and subsequently banned for.

Just be smart about it.
