The Illuminate are too easy
I genuinely think they might have to re-tune the 'observers'? somehow when the full Illuminate invasion begins, as right now it's far to easy to shut them down completely given how easy the Observers are to see and gun down before they have a chance to mark you and call for reinforcements, I think they should just increase how many of them there are as well as make it so their marking cone isn't visible through obstacles.

They just need to add more unit types that actually have heavy armor, so the elevated overseers obviously-injflated health pool can come down to reasonable levels and stop being spammed so much lol.

I wonder if they're going to add the control-reversing enemies from Helldivers 1, ohhhhh people are going to be so mad lol.

We only have half or so the illuminate enemies so far, wait until we fight their full force before you say it's too easy. This is probably just to get us accustomed to them.

HD1 had cloaked snipers and illuminate that would mind control you and flip your controls.

The snipers weren't actually invisible, they just had shields on the highest 3 difficulty settings. Though the control inverting attacks were present on more than one Illuminate unit.

If they end up taking a lot from the first game for the Illuminate later one, we'll probably end up with invisible watcher variants. All Watcher variants from the first game cloak themselves until they went to call for reinfrocements, and the highest level variant, when it did reveal itself it, deployed a personal shield and a shock wave attack that inverts your controls. Imagine fighting that in HD2.

The Illuminate have always traded armor for health/shielding. Its a big part of what makes them distinct from the other two factions, who tend to rely more heavily on armor for their tank units. It creates an interesting contrast, where the other two require anti-armor for anti-tank, where as the Illuminate require raw dps.

They used to be invisible.

I like to imagine they become like that again.
And all you can react to is when they have you in your sight.

This is the initial invasion force. We'll be seeing a lot more scarier enemies in the future.

I don't know, those Jetpack dudes need a bit of a nerf. They're far too tough. a couple are ok. when you have like 8-10 of them at once flying all over, well things get hairy.

They should not be able to face tank AT weaponry.

They can only survive AT weapons because the way their armor works. The armor plates have their own health pool and have to be destroyed before the actual unit can be hit, so no amount of damage will kill them outright hitting them without splash damage.

If you think about it, its basically a side grade to the shields the Illuminate use, which also prevent one shot kills. This armor trades the ability to regenerate to have multiple different plates with their own health pools.

You do realise AH will see this and not make the game more difficult in a way you'd like but instead make the game more "difficult" in a way that'd spite you, right?
They won't take your suggestions they'll make up their own in a way that is directly opposed to you and any way you'd like to play and use your claims of "it's too easy" as an excuse for it.

But yeah, keep talking about it and they'll definitely make it "harder"

personally this feels more like a raiding force. Seeing how they are using humans as fodder infantry these attacks may be more about grabbing as many bodies as possible rather than securing ground.

On the planets they have won, they still did not seize as is typical, because yeah as you said, they're an abduction force, not a conquering force.
